Staying Safe at Nursery
The Government recognise that children cannot be expected to remain 2 metres apart from each other and team, therefore we are working though the hierarchy of the measures below:
1.Avoiding contact with anyone with symptoms
2.Frequent Hand cleaning and good repository hygiene practices
3.Regular cleaning of nursery and equipment
4.Minimising contact and mixing
To minimise contact and mixing, we will be segregating the nursery into their designated rooms: Yellow, Green, Teal. All children and staff members will remain in their 'Bubbles' and will not have any contact with the other rooms. To minimise contact both the Green and Teal Rooms have designated garden times with a thorough cleaning procedure in place between garden shifts. The Yellow Room now have their own baby garden located next to their room to ensure our 'Bubbles' are maintained at all times.
Drop off and collection
Please collect your child from your designated access points for each room. There will be 2 meter markings on the floor to ensure social distancing measures are in place. To minimised contact only 1 parent/carer can drop off/collect at any time. Only 1 child will be released at a time and if possible your child will be sent out to you to minimise contact. Please remain 2 meters apart from the staff and other parent/carers where possible.
See map below for your new drop off/collection point ...
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
The Government have stated they do not recommend wearing face coverings in early years settings. To ensure all our little angels staff feel comfortable we have given them the option to wear face coverings during high risk times if they choose to. Therefore you may see some of the staff wearing face coverings during drop off/ collection times. We will not be providing PPE for the children. We are following a strict hygiene routine will all PPE to ensure the safety of everyone on site.
Infection control and keeping clean
To avoid infection your child's temperature will be taken every day before entering nursery. If your child's temperature is above 38*C we will refuse entry. All staff members will also be following this procedure.
We have a rigorous cleaning schedule in place at all times on site. To minimise the risk of infection we have amended our cleaning routine to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness at all times. You child will be washing their hands upon arriving at nursery, after any high risk times i.e sneezing, sharing toys and regularly throughout the day. The Green and Teal Room's shared toilets have been divided into two to ensure they remain in their 'Bubbles'.
